Two Naperville companies have earned national recognition for workplace culture, landing on Inc. Magazine's 2026 Best Workplaces list alongside 505 other businesses across the country.

IntentGen Financial Partners, a financial consulting firm on Bond Street, and Blackline IT, a technology services company on Diehl Road, both earned spots on this year's list, NCTV17 reported Tuesday, June 9. IntentGen confirmed the recognition on its own website.

Blackline IT, established in 1993, serves more than 200 clients. IntentGen employs at least 15 advisors and staff at its Naperville office, including principals Zachary Larson and Corey Schmidt.

IntentGen Financial Partners, a financial consulting firm on Bond Street, and Blackline IT, a technology services company on Diehl Road, both made this year's list, NCTV17 reported Tuesday, June 9. The two are among 31 Illinois companies recognized, according to the Springfield State Journal-Register.

Inc. selects honorees through a two-part process: companies must first submit an application, then employees complete an anonymous survey administered by Quantum Workplace covering areas including management effectiveness, trust, and professional development. Companies are scored based on employee responses, not editorial judgment, meaning the recognition reflects what workers themselves report about their experience on the job. Inc. has published the list annually since 2019.

Blackline IT, established in 1993, has grown into a managed technology services provider serving more than 200 clients. The Diehl Road firm has built its business around long-term client relationships and internal stability — factors that often correlate with the kind of low-turnover culture the Inc. survey rewards.

IntentGen Financial Partners employs at least 15 advisors and staff at its Naperville office, including principals Zachary Larson and Corey Schmidt. The firm confirmed the recognition on its website, calling it a reflection of the team they have built.

For smaller professional services firms like these two, a Best Workplaces designation carries practical weight beyond the plaque. Recruiting in competitive fields like financial advisory and IT services increasingly depends on employer reputation, and third-party recognition from a national outlet gives candidates an independent signal about company culture.

The 507 companies on this year's list represent a range of industries and sizes. Inc. does not disclose the total number of applicants, but the magazine has noted in past years that fewer than half of companies that apply ultimately earn a spot.

Naperville has consistently produced companies that land on national workplace and business growth lists — including Inc.'s separate 5000 fastest-growing companies list, which has featured dozens of DuPage County firms in recent years.
