More than 20 Naperville restaurants will offer discounted signature dishes starting Friday, Oct. 9, when the first-ever Taste of Naperville begins a 10-day run through Sunday, Oct. 18.

Diners can choose bites priced at $5, $10, $15 and $20 at participating locations across the city. The event is organized by Dine Naperville, a program of the Naperville Development Partnership.

Monica Conners, president of the Naperville Development Partnership, told NCTV17 the lower price points are meant to bring in customers who might not otherwise eat out. "I hope that people are able to try new flavors … maybe do a date night that normally they wouldn't have the opportunity to plan," Conners said.

The Taste of Naperville is a departure from the city's Restaurant Week, a winter promotion that launched in 2014 and drew 61 participating restaurants during its most recent run in January. Conners described the new fall event as a smaller-scale effort to help local restaurants welcome new customers before the holiday season.

The city recorded more than $5.7 billion in retail sales in 2025 and ranked as the top suburban location in Illinois for dining and drinking purchases, according to the Naperville Development Partnership. A 2025 report by Melaniphy and Associates found Naperville has ranked second only to Chicago in dining and drinking sales since 2017, as reported by the Chicago Tribune.

In a January interview with the Tribune during Restaurant Week, Conners said the city's food promotions have helped build a dining culture that attracts both customers and restaurant operators.

The city counts more than 400 dining options, according to the Naperville Development Partnership. A full list of participating restaurants and their price-point offerings is available on the Taste of Naperville website.

No reservations or tickets are required. Diners order directly at each restaurant.
