Four North Central College wrestlers, one volleyball player, three lacrosse players, are on the Academic All-America ballot.

12 Cardinals total earned Academic All-District honors across six sports and national winners will be announced Tuesday, July 7.

The three advancing wrestlers from the women's team, honored June 2, posted dominant seasons. Sara Sterner, a sociology major, finished third at the NCAA Championships at 124 pounds with a 28-2 record and set the program career record with 51 pins. Taylor Graveman won both the CCIW and NCAA Region V Championships at 160 pounds, finishing 21-10. Taylor Miess tied the program's single-season pin record with 22 at 138 pounds.

Senior wrestler from the men's team Casey Aikman earned his third All-District award. The exercise science major won the CCIW title at 184 pounds, placed second at the NCAA Region V Championships, and compiled a 27-12 record. He earned Academic All-America Third Team honors last year.

Sophomore volleyball player Christopher Mactal, a biology major, led the Cardinals with 63 blocks, the fifth-most in a single season in program history. Senior biomedical sciences major Jeffrey McEachern Jr. finished second on the team with 189 kills.

On the lacrosse field, sophomore mechanical engineering major Braley posted a .497 faceoff win percentage and led the team with 73 ground balls. Seniors Alexander Porter and Dominic Rohrer anchored the defense, combining for 44 caused turnovers.
