Republican Gary Grasso faces Democratic incumbent Deb Conroy for DuPage County Board chair on November 3, 2026, according to the county’s official candidate listing.
Public-service background
Grasso’s current campaign biography identifies him as Burr Ridge mayor from 2005 to 2012 and again from 2019 onward. It lists County Board membership from 2013 to 2018 and chairmanship of the separate county 911 board from 2014 to 2018. He was a County Board member during that period, rather than County Board chair.
His biography lists a Georgetown University degree and a law degree from Fordham University.
Current campaign priorities
Grasso calls for county spending within available revenues and a referendum on term limits. He also proposes preserving municipal control of zoning and working with public-safety officials on changes to state law.
On immigration, he says enforcement should focus on threats to public safety while avoiding profiling otherwise law-abiding residents. His proposals concerning state statutes would require cooperation beyond the county chair’s office. These positions come from his current campaign website, replacing statements from earlier races.
