Bestselling author Rebecca Yarros is coming back to Naperville, and tickets go on sale at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 23.
Yarros will appear at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 19, at North Central College's Pfeiffer Hall, 310 E. Benton Ave., to celebrate her new novel, "Peculiar Stars." Anderson's Bookshop is sponsoring the event, one of only three stops on Yarros' national book tour, as first reported by the Chicago Tribune.
A little more than 1,000 tickets are available at $41 each, plus a $2.89 handling fee.
Each ticket includes a pre-signed copy of "Peculiar Stars" (Deluxe Limited Edition) and admits one guest. Tickets are available only through Humanitix.
Kerry Clemm, marketing manager for Anderson's Bookshop, told the Tribune the tickets are expected to sell out quickly. There is no waitlist and no third-party sales.
"So it's either through us and once it's sold out, like we are sold out. They're gone," Clemm said.
Yarros, author of more than 20 books including the romantic fantasy series "The Empyrean," last appeared in Naperville on Nov. 11, 2023, for her book "Iron Flame."
During that sale, a cyber attack on the ticketing company crashed the system and temporarily halted purchases. Anderson's has switched to a new ticketing provider for this event, Clemm told the Tribune.
At the Nov. 19 event, Yarros will be in conversation with her editor, Lauren Plude, followed by audience questions.
There will be no photo or signing line. Doors open for check-in about 60 minutes before the 7 p.m. start, and seating is open, according to the Anderson's Bookshop event page.
Ticketholders who cannot attend can pick up their pre-signed book at Anderson's within 30 days of the event. Shipping is available for an additional $9.99 by calling the store.
