Foster-based dog rescue Angel Dog Alliance is hosting a weekend dog adoption event at PetSmart in Bolingbrook.
Founded in November 2023 by Teresa Ryan, the nonprofit covers all veterinary costs, food, and supplies for foster families. It takes all breeds and pulls dogs from shelters in Illinois, California, Alabama, Georgia, and Texas, according to the organization's website and a Tuesday, June 16 profile on NCTV17.
The Spotlight episode featuring Napeville's Angel Dog Alliance premiered on June 17 at 7:00 p.m. on Channel 17 (Comcast & Astound) and Channel 99 on AT&T U-verse.
Dogs live in foster homes rather than a facility, allowing volunteers to observe behavior with children and other pets before matching them with permanent families.
Angel Dog Alliance has been posting puppy posters on Facebook promote their weekend dog adoption event and Naperville residents are in love with what they see.
"Omg is he cute, love the freckles on the ears!" one user said.
"Little one in the back," another person said.
"He is so handsome," one person commented.
The PetSmart event takes place on Saturday, June 20th from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. on 159 N Weber Rd, Bolingbrook.
