Republican incumbent Gwen Henry faces Democrat Yeena Yoo for DuPage County Treasurer in the November 3, 2026 election, according to the county’s official candidate listing.
Experience
The Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund says Henry has served as county treasurer since 2006 and previously held elected positions on the County Board and Forest Preserve Commission.
Henry joined IMRF’s board in 2009. Its September 2025 announcement said she would begin another two-year term as an executive trustee on January 1, 2026, ending December 31, 2027. The fund records her service as board president in 2012, 2021 and 2025.
Public statements
In that IMRF announcement, Henry said her pension-board priorities included member and employer service, sound investments and full funding of the pension. Those comments concern her IMRF responsibilities rather than a detailed new platform for the county-treasurer race.
